Kirk Simpson

Co-founder

Qui is Kirk’s fourth technology startup. Previously, Kirk was co-founder and CEO of Wave, an internationally disruptive fintech. He grew the company to a team of 350 people, with revenues of more than $100M. Wave was acquired in 2019 for $537 million. Kirk has been a mentor for Next 36, an advisor for the Creative Destruction Lab at Rotman, and is an active angel investor. In 2019 he was named Canada’s Most Admired CEO in the growth category by Waterstone. He believes in paying it forward, and loves to empower up-and-coming entrepreneurs.

Peter Carrescia

Co-founder

In his extensive technology career, Peter has funded and helped scale high growth companies both as an operator and a venture capitalist. Most recently, he led strategy, business and corporate development at Wave, leading to its successful acquisition. As a VC, Peter was the founding managing director at OMERS Ventures, where he led the first investments including Wave. He was also a general partner at VenGrowth Capital Partners. Peter is a past president of NEXT Canada, a national technology accelerator. Early in his career he held senior roles at IBM and Microsoft.

Preet Singh

Preet is a seasoned product design leader, having designed experiences for clients spanning e-commerce giants, large proptech enterprises to unicorn startups. He also founded and manages DesignX Community, one of the largest design communities in North America.

Sabrina Tomei

Sabrina is a finance and accounting professional with extensive experience helping early stage companies scale their financial and operational plans. Sabrina started her career at KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers before taking on progressively responsible roles in all areas of finance, accounting and administration. Most recently Sabrina oversaw the sale of an early-stage SaaS company.

Sam Pajot-Phipps

Sam is a senior product and growth leader, having multiple experiences navigating the start-up journey from idea to product market fit. He’s led teams in enterprise software, blockchain, crypto, and fintech.

Jason Colburne

Jason is a software professional with a passion for mentoring. He has designed, built and operated both cryptographic solutions and systems of scale.

Joanne Bradford

Joanne is a Silicon Valley based executive who is an experienced operating executive and independent board member with a demonstrated track record in technology, media and financial services.. She has held senior roles at Bolt, Honey, PayPal, SOFI, Pinterest and Microsoft.

Satraj Bambra

Satraj is the Managing Partner at Round13 Digital Asset Fund. A successful entrepreneur and former software engineer, he was co-founder and CEO of BlockEQ (wallet and decentralized exchange startup), and co-founder and CEO of BHouse (SDK and application development studio), both successfully acquired.
